Welcome to a very pivotal year in your life! Middle School has started. You are no longer a child, nor are you a teen. So where exactly do you belong? At Clemmons UMC, we have a special place just for you: FAITH FORMATION: our 6th Grade Confirmation experience. It's just for you and it's going to be a blast!
What is FAITH FORMATION?
Our Faith Formation program is a step in a life-long journey of pursuing the heights, depths and widths of God's love...a journey of making a vow to live in a relationship with Him for the rest of your life...a journey of formation as you are being molded, shaped and transformed into the image of God.
You will have the opportunity to explore who Christ is and what it means to know Him through a personal relationship. You will also learn how we follow Him as United Methodists and about our rich heritage as a denomination.
Faith Formation is also about building relationships with your peers and with adults who will support you in your faith in an environment of love and acceptance. You will enjoy classroom learning, small group activities, team-building opportunities, mission and service projects and a weekend retreat. There will also be opportinities to join with the Middle School Youth throughout the year for various activities and worship times.
Who is in charge of FAITH FORMATION??
Our program is sponsored and administered through the Children's Ministry Area. It is guided by Kathy Giff, our Children's Minister. The classes are lead by a dedicated group of adult mentors who take great joy in supporting your journey! Where is FAITH FORMATION Held?
Our class meets on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in our Chapel, located at the front of campus attached to the Children's building. Faith Formation is a comprehensive package of classes and events. It is intended that participants be involved in the whole range of activities, not just the morning classes. During this year of spiritual growth and formation, our greatest hope is that you will make a personal decision to commit your life to Christ and then to become a full member of our church family on Confirmation Sunday sometime in the spring,
