Giving to Clemmons UMC
Clemmons UMC has convenient electronic options to making regular or one-time offerings. Contributions can be debited automatically from your checking or savings account (preferred method due to significantly lower fees) or processed using your debit or credit card. While we do accept credit cards, we discourage anyone from using a credit card that would accumulate debt.

Open the messaging app on your phone and enter 73256 in the To: box where you would normally enter a phone number. This number will always be the same, so you may wish to save it as a contact.
Type ClemUMC in the text field and tap the icon to send the message.
You will get a message with a link in it. Tap the link to open it using your phone’s browser. Verify that it says “Clemmons United Methodist Church” at the top of the screen. Follow the on-screen prompts.

Benefits
Our electronic giving program offers convenience for you and much-needed donation consistency for our congregation.
If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes. And, when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis.
Online giving helps our church. Every person who gives through automatic giving makes our record keeping easier and our sources of finances more consistent.
Online giving is safe, secure and confidential! No checking or debit/credit card information is stored on CUMC servers. This information cannot be accessed by anyone at the church.

If you have an IRA and are required to make an RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) annually, please consider making your contribution to the church using a portion of these funds from your IRA. The amount you donate will reduce your taxable income. Simply have your IRA account manager send your donation to the church when you make your withdrawal. You can have Scott Seagle our Financial Secretary specify how you want your donation to be allocated. For example, you can apply your donation to various funds such as the Operating Fund, Methodist Men’s Scholarship Fund, Clemmons Food Pantry, Watchmen of the Streets, etc.
Another excellent option is to donate stock. There are brokerage firms who can provide direct transfer of marketable securities (shares of stock) as well. Please contact Waynette Adamczak at 336-766-6375 ext.122 or adamczakw@clemmonsumc.org so she can be aware of this transaction and provide you with our account and DTC number.
